Crochet Slippers

When I went on the recent crochet retreat, I started a pair of crochet slippers made entirely of hexagons.

I gave you a glimpse of what I had done.but now I have completed them.

Just in time because I have needed them some evenings lately.

I knew that I wouldn’t be able to make twelve hexagons the same as the one you can see above, so I just made six of them.Hexagons with mauve and red centresAnother two, to the four I had joined for the basic slipper.

I made another four substituting pink for red and yellow for the mauve.four hexagons with yellow and pink centresNow I could see that I didn’t have enough cream to make another two, so I substituted some of the cream with yellow.Different hexagons for solesNow I had twelve.

I decided to use the last two for the soles and so took the four joined hexagons apart and joined them like this.boots showing all sidesThey fold flat quite nicely too.boots folded flat

Here I am wearing them.boots being wornYou can turn the tops downboots being worn with tops folded downif you want.

Such a classy pair of slipper boots in my opinion.boots finishedI still have 160g left of the yarn.left over yarnIt is Aran weight.

Can anyone think of something I could make with the remnants?

I'd love to hear from you
